Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Probate

My husband just passed away 1/29/08 and he has a will where the house comes to me which it was in both of our names. He has 2 small life insurance policies which I have death certificates. He has a pickup truck that was transferred to me on the date of his death. Do I need to take this will to probate? There is nothing else that was in his name.

Re: Probate

If the house is titled with a right of survivorship, AND you are the individual beneficiary of the insurance policies, you need not open a probate estate. Otherwise, you will need to do so.
