Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My son was gifted a 4 wheeler from his grandpa. He has since passsed. I am being told that it needs to be returned to be appraised, and that I can buy it if I want. Would this be true?

The 4 wheeler does not have to be returned. Once a gift is given the person giving the gift has no rights to the property and neither does his estate.
