Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma

Sex crime

I had a felony sex crime charge. The charges were ultimately dropped w/o me ever having to go to court. How can I get these charges off my record? I have paperwork verifying dropped charges.

Re: Sex crime

What you are seeking is an expungement (some states call it expunction) of your records. There are specific guidelines that a person must meet in order to be eligible for an Oklahoma expungement and specific procedures that must be followed to seal the records. If the charges against you were dismissed, then you may very well be eligible for an expungement. However, without knowing the facts of your case, I cannot definitively say that you are entitled to an expungement, but feel free to contact me and I can give you more information.

Re: Sex crime

If these felony charges against you were in fact actually dismissed or nolle prossed, only the record of your arrest should remain which may be subject to expungement by following the procedures outlined in Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2 et seq.
