Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon

Who is responsible for injurys from auto accident?

I was in an accident where I was rear ended. I was driving somebody elses car, (they were with me). I was injured Wiplash (Neck& Back) as said by the doctor. The other driver said he was at fault and notified his insurance company. I am going to thearpy and will be reevaluated in two weeks. I have rining in my ears that the doctor said might go away! I know or am assuming the other driver had the mimium insurance for the state. Can I get more for my injurys from the insurance company of the car I was driving? What would be a fair settlement?

accident responsibility

Initially use the PIP provisions of the policy on the car you were driving to get medical and wage loss paid for the first year after the collision. This policy might also be used for underinsured recovery if the value of your claim exceeds the 3rd party insurance coverage. The value of you claim i dependent on what you can prove you lost in terms of medical costs, wage and earnings loss, loss of future earnings, and whether there is any permanent impairment, etc. No one can adequately advise you withou knowing these and possibly other facts.
