Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oregon
Hi,
I sold a house in California over 3 weeks ago. I currently don't live in California, and haven't for the past 7 months. The buyers of the house are telling my realtor that they are going to file against me in small claims court.
Is this possible?

It's possible, but presumably they would need to personally serve you in Oregon. However, the process for serving someone in a small claims complaint might not be as rigid as general civil litigation and the matter would be decided by reference to California law, which I do not practice. You should discuss the matter with a California attorney.
