Legal Question in Disability Law in Pennsylvania

ADD/ADHD Teacher

At a very early age, my son was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. With the proper medication & support including OVR & resources available at the college, he was able to complete college earning a Dual major degree in Elementary & Special Education & is PA Certified in both. Now that he is in the work force however and in his third year with the same employer, I see problems with the lack of support from his employer with his organizational skills which may lead to his termination. The employer was well aware of his certified disabilities and yet have made no provisions to assist. To further complicate matters, his reviews have gone well, but when we get into the stress of the last few weeks of a term, the criticizing without the support to correct any deficienies and the treats by his supervisor is resulting in an intolerable situation that further compounds his ability to reach the objectives set by the employer. His wife, who also is an educator, Behavior Specialist, and teaches at the same school feels that the demands placed on him are excessive as compared to all of the other teachers, and is considering hiring a lawyer to intercede. Is this the best coarse of action and who is the best lawyer in the central PA area?

Re: ADD/ADHD Teacher

I have strong experience in prosecuting matters under the ADA both through arbitration and the traditional legal system. I also have experience with the particular conditions noted and am familiar with the needs and abilities of persons so abled.

I am not in the Central PA area but that should not present an issue in handling this matter.

Have your son contact me directly and I would be happy to discuss the matter with him at length.

Regards,
