Dog License

Hello!

Does a service dog have to have a county dog licence?

Does a Service dog have to have proff of rabies certification?

Can the SPCA fine a disabled person for not having either the rabies proff or the county dog lic.?

You asked about regulations covering a service dog.

Unequivocally yes. The license and certificate have no bearing on the animal being a service animal. They are regulations separate and distinct from any issue associated with the disability.

Further, these items are for the protection of the animal as well as much as for anything else. This animal is giving its life to assist and should be cared for in the best manner that an animal can be.
