Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

Went to college but had to leave because one of my parents was dying at the time. Tried to go back but It was extremely hard, because I had four children at the time as well. With no degree I can't get a stable good job. Without the stable job I can't live any where too long. I did make payments on the loan and did return to a community college but only could make small payments which made the amount I owe grow larger, which made me in more debt. I was able to work off and on for a while and file income tax and PHEAA took the whole amount this year. Now the amount has grown again, what can I do? With housing and getting my credit fix?

You may want to consult with a bankruptcy attorney in Phila. who handles individual debtors. If you do, ask whether he or she has ever successfully sought to discharge student loans in bankruptcy. It is difficult to do and requires proof of hardship, so you would want someone who has done it before. Good luck!
