If I give you a birthday present and you sell it to your friend instead of keeping it, can I ask for it back? Of course not. Once something is gifted, its gifted.

Having said that, if there were any conditions placed on the donation, such as, " I want this back in 10 years" or "I want this back if you don't take care of it" then you could possibly get it back.

It would be a tough claim to pursue under any circumstance.
