Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Scope Creep

Can I without a percentage of the remaining fee for a contractor who contracted to have remolding work done in three weeks and the work is going into the ninth week and still not completed. Original contract did not have any wording for withholding money if the work was not completed within the agreed to time frame of three weeks.

Re: Scope Creep

Unless the contract specifies that "time is of the essence" chances are you could not prevail in a suit for damages. You may be able to negotiate a discount based on the failure to complete the project on time. I offer free consultations.
