Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Can an aagency call you at work

I would like to know if there is any thing I can do or it is legal for credit collection agency to call you at work? I work at ahighly secured facility. I consider this harrassment since I am dealing with at risk youth and it is highly confidential with the HIPPA laws. It is annoying and I cannot take time away from the youths to answer this type of call. I will call her tomorrow and ask her to stop and if doesn't do I have any recourse or should I call an attorney. I live in the sate of Pennsylvania.

Thank You

If you ask them to stop calling, then they have to do so. Otherwise it is a violation of the law and you can pursue a claim against them.

Ask that all future collection efforts on the account be done in writing.
