Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Civil action

I received a Civil Action Hearing Notice from the local District Justice over an unpaid credit card debt. I've since written a letter to the plaintiff (Debt Recovery Law Firm) and explained my situation. I also offered a repayment plan, which I entered through their online payment site. While I never received an acceptance letter, they did accept my first electronic payment. Do I need to appear at this hearing? What can or can't happen to me if I don't go? Can I be arrested? Any other other advice about what I should do is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time.

Re: Civil action

Attend the hearing to protect your rights. Notify the Court you intend to defend. At the hearing negotiate with the attorney regarding a payout. Do not ignore the hearing date. You could jeapodize your rights. Seek legal advice.
