Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

My mortgage company has been falsly reporting my wife and I as late and not paying our mortgage to the credit bureaus when i fact we have been paying on time. Our credit is ruined, can we sue the mortgage company?

I am not sure why the previous attorney pointed you to a bankruptcy firm, that doesn't make sense.

Yes, you can bring a claim against the mortgage company if you can prove your allegations. There is a law called the Fair Credit Reporting Act and it covers your very situation.
