can a car be seized for a 1st summary offense on a $13 dollar shoplifting charge in PA. They did it and i own the car that was being used by the purp which is a single mother of three.

A car can be seized if the police believe probable cause exist as to the existence of a crime and to the issue of whether the car is likely to yield evidence of that crime. A judge must sign a warrant for them to do so.
