Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Let me start off by saying in was wrong. I've never had an infraction in my life. Just 1 speeding ticket. I went to wal mart and tried to return something and with that return, I was going to buy goods. I didn't get to return it so I tried to take it. I was caught.I put up no right whatsoever. When the officers arrived same thing. Very polite. I got a citation. Should ibplead guilty because in was I'm camera. Or not guilty. I just cannot afford a lawyer and rather pay off fines slowly as long as I can get this off my record. What do you suggest?

Try to get pub def and ask about a diversion or first offender program which will get you expunged possibly.
