Step son abusing Dad's assets

My father's step son-Jim, who now has

POA, convinced him to sell his paid-off

home after his wife (Jim's mom) passed

on 5 yrs ago, & to buy land adjacent to

Jim's home & build a house on it &

move in. The house, which Jim oversaw

the building of, was way too large for

Dad, & ran over budget. Dad is 84 &

handicapped. About 3 years ago Jim

took dad to his (Jim's) lawyer and had

him sign half of the house over to Jim

for $1, with right of survivorship. My

dad does not understand that he signed

away half of his house and that his only

asset goes directly to Jim upon his

death. (Dad has 8 children) We

havebeen explaining it to him, but he

can't quite believe it, because it is not

what he meant to do.He now needs this

asset to sell to be in assisted-living. Jim

is not caring for him properly and I

want to have POA signed to me (which

Dad will do.)His memory is not good

and he takes early alzheimer's meds.Jim

wants the house for himself, along with

Dad's car and bank acct., which he has

now put his name on. We think that Jim

had him sign away the house falsely &

has bad intentions. What can we do?
