common law marriage/death certificate

i need to know how to go about getting a letter written by the judge stating that my mother was bond to my father by the common law marriage. reasong being my father was once married and the funeral director stated this on his death certificate. when asked him to change he was not willing to help. having my fathers death certificate change will help release funds that my mother is intitle too. what should i do

Sounds like you are looking for a decree that states that your mother and father had a common law marriage.

You would need to petition the court that such a decree should be granted.
