Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

What can i do about getting custody?

The father of my 4 year old daughter is trying to sue me for custody of her.He has not been in her life since shes been born.He has seen her maybe 30 times since i had her.My parents told him stuff i have done in the past.I am wondering if it could be used against me to where he can gain custody of her.My family told him i used to sleep with guys for money and that i was taking pills.Which the sleeping with guys for money thing is true.I only did it for a month but that was to keep a roof over my daughters head and make sure she was takin care of since i didnt have any help.Does he have a case against me or should i file for sole custody of her.He hasnt wanted her since the day he found out i was pregnant with her.The only reason he wants her now is because the state is going after him for child support. Please help me!!

You need to get an attorney. Only evidence that goes to your fitness as a parent is admissible. A good lawyer might be able to keep that material out. I offer free consultations.
