Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

custody of a grandchild

My 17 year old daughter has an 8 month old girl. They both live with me and I pay everything for the baby. Do not know who the father is. My daughter continually skips school, sneaks out of the house at night while leaving her infant alone in her crib. She also has taken my car with the baby with no drivers license in the middle of the night. Is there anything legal I can do about getting custody of my grannddaughter?

Re: custody of a grandchild

Yes, you can file for custody. Though how much that would help is debatable.

Further you could tell your daughter if she takes the car again you will call the police and press charges.

Also her skipping school may subject you to truancy charges.

If you have any questions feel free. To contact me the initial consultation is free.
