Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

my daughter hasn't seen her son in almost a month because the father won't let her see him, she has called the cops and they say theirs nothing they can do. she can't afford a lawyer, legal aid won't help her and she doesn't know what to do... she wants her son with her.. and he has theatered to run off with her son

If by legal aid you mean MidPenn legal services they do have their limits. Legally dad has to let her see the child. That said is there a custody order in place? Why does dad have the child not mom? There are lots of questions that need to be answered. All this takes time and money. Sad fact is practicing law is also a business. There are a lot of costs incurred to be a lawyer. Office rent, phone expense, office supplies malpractice insurance continuing legal education to name a few. Now there are ways to get an attorney at less than full price but generally you have to contact you local bar association to find these resources.
