Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I am going through a divorce with my wife. She moved out a year ago with her boyfriend. The house we lived in together i still reside at. This home was purchased and paid in full by my mother. My mother put herself, me and my wife(soon to be ex) on the title and deed. Now my question to you is cause my wife had no fianacial ties to the home and i paid for all utilities and such while we lived together in the home,is she intitled to anything from the home. Take in mind that all monies that paid for the home were from my mother, and we have a copy of the check that paid for the house from her banking account proving that it was her money from a settlement she had from a lawsuit. So fianacially she did nothing for the home, but she is claiming she wants half of everything. Hopefully this cannot be so,right?

Unfortunately, your soon to be ex does have a claim against the home. The nature and ultimate value of that claim is yet to be determined, but I suggest consulting with an attorney to start strategizing.

Feel free to contact me if you want to set up a consult, either in person or by phone.

Unfortunately, she may have a claim depending on the increased value of the home while married. There are other factors, and legal counsel is strongly suggested.
