My husband and I are in the process of divorce, I have at 37,000 dollar car arquried during our marrage with a balance of 5k, now he is stating that he wants half of the money we put down. What are my options?

The car was purchased during the marriage, it is marital. If you go to court, the court would consider its current blue book value, not original purchase price, to determine any net marital value.
