running away

Can you get in trouble for running away at 16-17??

You asked about running away from home.

There are better options and I won't discuss the legality of it. Unless there is actual abuse going on you should consider this matter very carefully and with a responsible adult. If there is abuse then you should also bring the matter to the proper persons. In some cases this would be police, but more often a teen counselor would be the best choice for a first stop.

Running away is a poor option and there are more horror stories about run-aways than anything else.

Speak to a counselor before acting.
