Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Can she sue me??

Ok I live in washington, my friend lives in Pittsburgh. I sent an email to him. His wife got mad and is saying she is going to sue me. Because she thinks we are having an affair. She is looking for anything she can to use against me. I think she wants a divorce and is looking for anything she can to pin it on someone else. What can she do?? Can she sue me??

Re: Can she sue me??

She can sue you but the real question is whether she can prove her case, whether you are a proper party defendant, and whether she can get a judgment against you and collect damages from you. The answer to that is a resounding "NO".

I am farily sure that this is the third time these facts have been posted in the last 24 hours.

Perhaps there is a rash of this going around, but for the THIRD TIME:

No. Your friends' wife cannot recover damages from you because you sent him an email. Get over it all ready.

Washington is a no fault state.

Nobody cares why the marriage ended, and they don't want to know about your email, or if you were having wild monkey moments in public with this man and were observed by the entire Seventh Fleet.

Even if that were the case, under Washington Law, you cannot be named as a respondent in the dissolution.

So please, accept this answer and be done with the situation.

Powell
