Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Car damage

After having my car repaired @ a shop it caught on fire & was destroyed. My insurance co paid for the car(agreeded value), however, I had bought a new top and had work done on the car. I am going to small claims court as the suit is 5K. Is there a time limit on my taking the repair shop to court?

If you suing because you claim the car shop was negligent then you have 2 years from the date of the fire to file a lawsuit.
