Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Extramarital relationship disclosure

I am married and previously was involved in an extramarital relationship. I recently broke off this relationship and now the other woman is threatening me with full disclosure of this affair to my wife and family. She frequently sends me threatening e-mails, pages me at all hours of the day and night, and calls my cellphone leaving the same type of voice messages. Do I have any legal recourse to stop these threats and this harrassment and to try to prevent her from informing my wife and family?

Re: Extramarital relationship disclosure

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. You should consult with an attorney, ane perhaps he will write this woman a letter requesting that she stop harassing you. If the harassment persists, you can attmpt to obtain a restraining order. The problem is, there is nothing to prevent this woman from informing your wife of the affair. While I do not know your personal situation, perhaps it might be prudent to be honest with your wife and accept the consequences. At least then you won't have to worry about this woman.
