Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

legal binding contracts 3

i suppose i was, it was an acting gig and the first i did. he was supposed to take care of the taxes because i know nothing about it but i don't know if he did or not. if the contract states payments will be distributed on a specific date and he misses that date can i take him to court for it? also for cancelling a long term assignment at the last minute can i sue for compensation for my time and trouble. i currently am in financial hardship and him not paying me has screwed my life up quite bad. also he promised and guaranteed that for my first months payment i was guaranteed at least 1000$ now hes trying to say he is only paying me 132$. he also stated that he 'thought it was likely [for me to make 1000$] but he can't guarantee it' he is just now saying this so by that he is agreeing that he told me i'd make 1000$. i'm unsure what to do, how to follow procedure as now he's harassing me saying, and i quote 'go ahead and play with lawyers' and locked my email account so i can't do anything. i didn't even know he had my password or the capability to do so! what to do? thank you.

I'm not sure if that makes you an independent contractor or not. You should probably still call the Department of Labor and Industry to see whether they consider you an employee or not. If he was planning to deduct taxes from your wages and you were to be paid on fixed paydays, then I think there is a good chance you would be considered an employee rather than an independent contractor.
