slanderous comments

my fiance's ex wife is suing for custody of their 17 year old son who decided to move in wth us and referred to me in the document as his paramour, although we did'nt meet untl 1 year after they separated. Do I have a case for slander?

No, allegations in court filings are just that allegations. Besides technically if he was still married at the time you were dating at that time you were his paramour.

My question is why is anyone suing for custody of a 17 year old. Once the child turns 18 or graduates high school which ever comes last, the court loses jurisdiction.

In addition to Mr. Davidson's comments, any statements in a court complaint are absolutely privileged, even if completely false and defamatory. If you think about it, that's a necessary rule, otherwise we'd have endless series of suits and counter-suits and counter-counter-suits, and people might be discouraged from seeking justice because of that threat.

There are sanctions for really frivolous litigation, but not by way of a libel lawsuit.

Of course, your fiance should have an attorney who can address your concerns.
