Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

I am suing my past employer. He has done a number of questionable things. I got a lawyer, wrong kind (he deals with land ) however the company is wanting to wait until August 31 to pay me. This has gone on for 2 years! I can't aford to start over with new lawyer. My concern is that they will give $5,000. Now. Remaining $15,ooo. but by August 31 they may close ,de solve or file bankruptcy. Is there anything I could have the attorney write out that would grantees that I would receive final payment? Anything to secure payment in my final response? Please I pray someone will help me. Recently widiow. And not old enough for Ssi. Not able to get insurance coverage when husband was diagnosed with ALS. So this little amount of money, is a ton for me.

I also paid with Pay pal and didn't receive a answer from the purchase of getting my question answered. Would you please answer so I get at least one response in time.

Thanks in advance

If when you went in to hire the lawyer for an employment case why did you hire a dirt lawyer. He should have told you that's not what he does and sent you to an employment lawyer.

There is very little to secure payment in this situation. If the company dissolves or files bankruptcy, your chances of getting paid significantly decrease and any security they provide to you could potentially be avoided by a trustee if a bankruptcy is filed within 90 days of the security given. However, if they are not going out of business or filing bankruptcy, there are many ways to secure payment, with the understanding that security is only as good as the collateral that is provided.
