Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Do I need a vehicle title to file a lawsuit?

I co-signed a loan for a vehicle, the person stopped paying the loan sticking me with the debt, also the person abandoned and damaged the vehicle creating even more costs.

I want to take this person to court, Do I need the title for the vehicle? (The bank still has it)

No. You do not get the title until the car is paid off. You can sue based upon the promissory note.
