Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania

I-797 Notice of Action

I-130 Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(e) or Orphan.

Receipt Date: March 23, 2009

Notice date: August 24, 2010

Notice Type: Approval Notice

Section: Sister or Brother of U.S. Citizen, 203 (a) (4) INA

My sister petitioned for me when she was living in Los Angeles.

She is now living in Pittsburgh and told me she informed NVC about changes in address and email.

I was thinking about filling I-824 to update about my situation as my sister believes the process might not be valid anymore.

There is no need to file form I-824. Sibling cases take years & years to become current. Once the priority date is current,NVC should notify your sister. Keep an eye on the visa bulletin & if your sister does not hear from NVC at that time, she can contact them. Right now, F4 is backlogged 13+ yrs (2003), depending on what country you are from. Since your case was filed in 2009, you have a long way to go.
