Does renters insurance cover my boyfreinds property?

Does renters insurance cover my boyfreinds property?.The house we rented burned down my name is on the renters insurance,my mom paid for the insurance.He paid all the rent and bills at the house though.

The answer depends on the policy itself. You need to obtain the policy booklet, and look for sections about "Personal Property," "Contents," "Property of Others" and suchlike.

Also, if the file was the fault of someone else (like the landlord, or a contractor) then that party's liability insurance might cover damages.

You should have heard from an insurance adjuster already. Tell that person about the boyfriend's property, and he will make an initial response. If it's not covered, he should tell you why.
