Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

fired because of misdemeanor

I plead guilty to a misdemeanor. However, I talked to my boss about it and they told me to fight it. I told them it was better to take the plea bargain. They told me that I had to leave the job. Is that okay?
