Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Hello,

I have a legal question pertaining to personal property. The facts: I had been living with my boyfriend for the past year. We had a very vague verbal agreement that I pay rent. Nothing was ever signed on my or his part. We had went out and agreed to purchase a bedroom set. It was under may name and I have made all payments to date. We recently broke up. He is now stating that he will hold my bed set from me until I give him $1300 in past due rent I apparently own him. What are my legal options to get my property out of his house? I don't want to do anything illegal, but it is my personal property regardless of if I owe him rent or not. Please advise.

Thanks you,

Lauren

If you aren't going to take legal action then what do you plan on doing to motivate him to give you your property or prove you owe $1300? Your only choice is to take himn to court. If you want your stuff back that will be Common Pleas Court.
