Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

past rent due

was a tenant in condo from Sept 1999 to Oct 2002. Paid rent, but do not have all cancelled check/receipts. Now, March 2007, landlord is claiming I owe almost $15,000 rent owed! Isn't there a statute of limitations on this??

Re: past rent due

Without having additional fact it would appear that unless the landlord filed suit against you within fours years of the the last alleged breach of payment then he would be unable to file suit against you. It therefore appears the case would be barred by the sttute of limitations providing you did not make any payments after that time to revive the statute.
