Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Security Deposit

A tennant of 4 years has indicated he wishes to renew for an additional 6 month perid. He states that he is due the return of his security deposit since he has resided in the premises for more than one year.

Is this a Pennsylvania requirement/law?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Re: Security Deposit

In addition to what Atty. Johns said, you would have to have disclosed to the tenant the name of the bank where his security deposit is being kept. You need not give back the security deposit+interest until the person surrenders the apartment, but you must do it within 30 days of surrender.
