Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

Law Suit?

I had wisdom teeth extracted about 6 years ago. I know i have waited awhile but... The doctor used novacain and did nerve damage i believe. I went back shortly after the procedure was done beacuse i will still numb... the doctor said it would go awway in time. 6 years later Im still numb. One reason why i didnt do anything sooner was because i was a minor and my parents didnt think it was anything to worry about. Im sick of living with a chin and jaw that is numb and tingly like pins and needles when it is touched ... do i have a case or have i waited too long?

Re: Law Suit?

can't say whether you have a case because nerve damage is a possible side-effect of tooth extractions, so there may or may not be negligence.

As far as waiting too long, in PA the 2-year time limit doesn't run while you are a minor. It started running on your 18th birthday.

That means if you are 20 or older, then it's probably too late. It won't hurt to consult a lawyer to find out for sure.
