I would require more information as ot your injuries, treatment, and insurance in order to provide with you some insight as to settlement. However, insurance companies dealing directly with injured parties are not know to be more generous than going through an attorney.

Whether you shouyld settle for what they offered depends on whether or not they are offering the limits of their insurance policy or not. If it is the limits of the policy, then there really isn't more to get from that policy though there may be the possibility of an underinsurance claim, and you have to be careful in settleing a case if there is a possibility of underinsurance.

In most cases, the initial offer is not the full amount that the insurance company will pay. It is worth noting, as Mr. Stacom said, insurance companies are often less generous in settling a case with someone who does not have an attorney.

You should definitely talk to an attorney. The insurance company, if they are dealing with you directly, will likely offer you less than value in an effort to conserve their own money. Feel free to call our offices:

You need to consult with an experienced injury lawyer, as stated in the other responses you received. Those who deal directly with the ins co in these types of cases usually get much less than if represented by an attorney. I have 30 years experience in these cases. Please call my offices if you would like to discuss further. Good luck!!

It is not possible to determine the value of your injury without knowing more about the medical aspect of your injury.
