Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Underinsured Auto

My insurance Co. is being sued for personal injuries because of an auto accident I was in 2 yrs. ago(fender bender). They are looking for upwards of $40000. At the time, I only had 25000/50000 coverage. I do not own a car (financing one), a home, or anything else really. If the plaintiff is awarded more than 25000, what will happen?

Re: Underinsured Auto

I assume you were sued, not the insurance company, and the insurance company has retained a defense attorney to represent you. Put that question to your attorney--I am sure he gets asked it all the time. I do not like to interject myself between attorney and client.

Re: Underinsured Auto

The prior response you received is good advice. Speak to the attorney your insurance company hired to represent you.
