Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Deeds

We have an extra lot behind our house, it is seperated by an alley. We have gotten approval to put a mobile home on the lot but need our deed which now states lot 1 and lot 2 on the same deed to be split into two deeds. We live in York County PA how do we go about doing this and how expensive will it be?

Re: Deeds

You would need to execute 2 deeds. One for each lot. Yow would be the grantor and the grantee.

The cost of drafting the deeds would not be too high assuming the original deed gives metes and bounds descriptions of each lot. The unknown is what the recording fees would be. To find that out you would have to contact the Recorder of Deeds in York County.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
