Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

I'm from NY and I just bought a piece of land in eagle rock resort in PA. Is there a way that I can retract the contract after signing it and payed the deposit for the said land.

Thank you for your question,

In Pennsylvania, there is a limited right of rescission of a contract, but only in certain transactions. In contracts for the purchase of time shares, the buyer has five (5) days within which he or she can rescind the contract.

If your contract was for the purchase of a time share in Eagle Rock Resort, then you would have 5 days from the date the contract was executed within which you could rescind the contract. If the subject of the contract was only for the purchase of land, then there would be no right of rescission and, unfortunately, you would not be able to rescind the agreement of sale without the risk that the seller would sue you for breach of contract.

Kindest regards,

ANDREA
