Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

I was served with papers for a mortgage foreclosure on the house that I lived w my ex wife. I haven't lived there since 2005. She is still living in the house w my kids and her new husband. As per the divorce decree she was to be solely responsible for the loan of the house within 10 days of the divorce. I can see on court records that my name is no longer on the Deed. The divorce was finalized in Dec 2005. This happened back in sept 2009 and we submitted documentation to have my name removed off everything with this house. We thought it was all cleared up. Why am I being served papers again and what do I need to do to get my name removed from this civil action?

though as between you and your ex spouse you may not be liable assuming it said so in your divorce decree or property settlement agreement, it is not binding on the mortgage company. They probably still have you on the mortgage. You of course can show them what you have but you would be aDVISED to obtain an attorney immediately.
