Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Five siblings co-own their parents home. One of the brothers has not been heard from for 6 years and the others would like to sell the home. Does he have to be located before the house can be sold or can his share be held in escrow?

Yes he would he would be one of the grantors on the deed. That said if you know his Social Security Number you might want to check the Social Security Death Index. If he's on it he is definitely dead if not he still might be though you have no evidence he is. He can and must be tracked down. As without his agreement you can't sell the house without first quieting title.
