Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

33 years ago my mother died. She left me some valuable antiques, Limoges china and a Sheraton dining room set. I let other family members have them until I could use them. My mother died in Pennsylvania but everyone lives in North Carolina now. Can I get them back?

I don't know. Why did you let these people have them? Why come back after 33 years? Do you have a written agreement? I seriously doubt that the family members will just give you the stuff back assuming they still have it. Anything is going to have to be done in North Carolina because that is where the property is located. After this much time, you are going to have a very hard time proving that this was just a loan rather than a gift.
