Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

My father passed away. He was widowed and I lived with him. He left me the house. Am I able to transfer the deed to my name? The house is still mortgaged for its full value and there are back property and school taxes that have not been paid. In Pennsylvania.

My answer would be much the same as before but the answer is no, you cannot just transfer the house into your name and be exempt from paying the mortgage and taxes. You already own the house as you are the beneficiary. You will need either a probate lawyer or real estate lawyer to draft a deed conveying the property from your father's estate to you. An estate should be probated for your father since there are obviously debts involved.
