Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

I was laid off last year.I found out that they hired someone else for my job.Can they do that instead of calling be back?

They can do that but there may be repercussions for the employer. For example, should they seek to modify your workers' comp wage loss benefits based upon a labor market survery (just someone's opinion as to what they "think" you can earn), evidence of jobs with your employer they were seeking to fill that you could have done can result in their modification petition being dismissed.
