Unless she was abused by her US citizen husband, a simple abandonment (with or without cause) usually can't be a valid reason for applying for a green card in her own right.

I often work with clients from all over the United States who were abused by their US citizen spouses and apply for a green card using a special federal law designed to help women and men in this situation. You may want to talk to a lawyer who is qualified in these matters in order to get a case-specific advice and help.

If youd like to schedule a confidential telephone or email legal consultation, need advice or help, please let me know and Id be glad to help you. Contact email address: Attorney [@] law-visa-usa.com or LubaSmal [@] yahoo.com . Or you can TEXT a request for a consultation with an Attorney to 1-402-238-1238.

I offer legal consultations and can assist in matters of the U.S. federal immigration law to clients from all 50 States and internationally.
