Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

magistrate court
are witnesses allowed to testify in magistrate court. What if a witness is a fugitive, would that prolong a hearing if I asked for a jury trial?

Yes, witnesses can testify. If a witness is a fugitive, then it could prolong a hearing
