Legal Question in Discrimination Law in South Carolina

My 12 year old son was involved in breaking into a shed in the woods, that he and his 6 friends, all under age 12, thought was abandoned. The owner has security cameras and was trying to identify these children. He had called the police and made a report. Before local law enforcement could investigate the owner posted a picture of my child stating he needed to know who he was because he had broken into his shed, destroyed personal property, stole items, and he was drinking.alcohol and other detrimental things. We live in a tiny town and everyone has seen these post on Facebook. What can I do?

First talk to your son, if he was drunken then talk to local lawyer.

If not then it is an act of childhood. So you may approach the police yourself and describe the situation to the police. But in such case, owner may demand compensation for his damaged shed alongwith parents of other children. So before you approach the police, better to consult with other parents of the children accompanying your son.

Good luck.
