rights

If the father of my son hasnt been or spoke to him since he was 3 weeks old and hes 5 now he never signed the birth papers does he have rights. we dont know where he is now how can i get my husband to adopt him.

He has certain rights because he is the child's father. If he has failed to visit or pay child support for a period over six months, you can seek to have his parental rights terminated, which is a part of the adoption process.

If you cannot locate him, the Court may allow you to serve him by publication with the adoption paperwork, but again there are certain requirements that must first be met.
